Local student honoured in Premier's VCE Awards

A Narre Warren South P-12 College student has been recognised alongside the state’s best performing VCE students in the Premier’s VCE Awards.

Member for Narre Warren South Gary Maas MP, congratulated Melinda Rogerson on her outstanding achievement of being recognised with a Study Award in Sport and Recreation (VCE VET).

A total of 297 Victorian students received 323 awards across 90 subjects, including 297 Study Awards, 23 Top All-Round VCE High Achiever Awards and three Top International Student Awards.

The Top All-Round VCE High Achiever awards recognise those students who achieved study scores of 46 or higher out of 50 in at least five VCE subjects, while Study Awards recognise the best performers in individual VCE subjects.

The Andrews Labor Government is delivering on its promise to build the Education State so every Victorian student can get a great education.

The Victorian Government’s $60.2 million investment in the Student Excellence Program is equipping schools with the resources, tools and professional learning opportunities needed to support high-ability students.

Every government school now has a high-ability practice leader to coordinate their school’s participation in these programs and to support their high-ability students.
