22 August 2025 The Hampton Park community now has a great new space to come together and enjoy a bowl all year round, thanks to the completion of upgrades at the local bowling club, made possible by the Allan Labor Government.
Member for Narre Warren South Gary Maas, joined Casey City Council and Hampton Park Bowls Club representatives on 21 August to formally open the upgrades, backed by a $530,000 State Government investment.
Since 1983, the Club has played an integral part in the local community. With 50 members, and social bowls more popular than ever, the club is a focal point of bowls in the area.
The upgrades have delivered an extension of the existing social area and servery as well as a new kitchen, office and meeting space, equipment storage areas and two outdoor canopies.
With extra spaces and modern facilities, the club can now build on its membership, open the greens to more social programs, extend pennant competitions and host more intra and interclub tournaments.
The Victorian Budget 2025/26 is providing $20 million to support the development of high-quality, accessible community sports infrastructure across the state, including through the 2025-26 Local Sports Infrastructure Fund.
This brings the Victorian Government’s investment in community sport and active recreation infrastructure to more than $2.4 billion since 2014.
Gary Maas MP acknowledged project partner City of Casey for its financial contribution of $1 million and commitment to delivering the project.
