$700,000 for Picked Projects in Narre South

Back in June, I asked if you had an idea for a Pick My Project community grant. An idea that would make our Narre Warren South community a better place.

Well these groups in the electorate did and enough people voted for their ideas and have collectively received over $700,000 of the $30m dollars from the Victorian Government.

Congratulations to:
Brentwood Park Neighbourhood House Inc. $200,000
Community Cinema Under the Stars. $200,000
Hampton Park Progress Association. $72,772
Buddhist Vihara Association. $196,196
Sri Lankan Dance Academy of Victoria. $38,850

In all, some 285,000 votes were cast on-line for projects around Victoria. By any measure this is high engagement in an inaugural community funding program. The Pick My Project grants are a way for communities to decide how they want to spend public money that can best suit their needs.

Authorised by Gary Maas, Shop 24 166 Somerville Road Hampton Park. Funded from the Parliamentary Budget.
